How it works

The journey of a mandate.

How Vault Partners turns a counterparty's raw accounts into a decision a partner can stand behind.

i.

Disclosure

Every mandate starts with the obligor's own record: audited accounts, filings, and the sector context that surrounds them. Where a figure is missing or unverifiable, it is chased or named as missing, never assumed.

ii.

Rating

More than twenty variables resolve into one consistent credit rating on the Vault credit-quality bands, applied the same way to every obligor, every time.

iii.

Analysis

A rating places the obligor. The analysis explains it: what would have to go wrong for the credit to fail, how the funding path looks from here, and what that means for the transaction actually on the table.

iv.

Decision support

The outcome is a written credit view in Vault Partners' house format: clear, sourced and defensible, built to support the partner's decision and to stand up to scrutiny afterwards.

What you receive
01

A written credit view

A structured report in a consistent house format, from executive summary to the detail behind it.

02

One consistent rating

A position on the Vault credit-quality bands that means the same thing across clubs, leagues and sports.

03

A view that keeps living

Where a mandate continues, the view is refreshed as new accounts and events arrive.

Discipline and independence

Evidence first, judgement stated.

Every figure is traced to the obligor's own record. Where the view looks forward, it is given as a projection with its assumptions in the open, never dressed up as fact.

Where no rating exists.

Almost no club, team or franchise carries a public credit rating. Vault Partners gives a decision-maker one consistent read where the market offers none.

Consistent by design.

The same framework, applied the same way, every time: that is what makes one rating comparable to the next.

FAQ

Which sports do you cover?

The whole business of sport.

Do you publish the methodology?

No. The framework's construction is proprietary. What is shared is the result: a clear rating and the reasoning a decision-maker needs.
